These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of Fix My Bill. By creating an account or uploading a bill you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What the service does
Fix My Bill is a decision-support tool. You upload a bill; we use AI to identify potential errors and overcharges and, at your request, generate a dispute letter you can edit and send. We do not negotiate with providers on your behalf, we do not file disputes for you, and we do not guarantee any specific outcome.
Not legal, medical, or financial advice
Nothing on Fix My Bill is legal advice, medical advice, or regulated financial advice. Our analysis is based on pattern recognition across common billing errors and publicly available consumer protection frameworks. Verify findings with your provider, insurer, or a qualified professional before taking action.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
- Don't share your account with others. One account per person.
- You may close your account at any time from account settings. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or that are used for abuse, fraud, or illegal activity.
Credits
- Each scan consumes one credit. New accounts receive 1 free credit on signup. Additional credits can be purchased in packs on the Pricing page.
- Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value. They do not expire while your account remains active.
- If a scan fails for a technical reason on our side, the credit is automatically refunded. Credits consumed for scans that completed successfully are not refundable, regardless of whether you found the analysis useful.
- For purchases made through Dodo Payments, refund requests for unused credit packs received within 14 days of purchase will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Email support@getfixmybill.com.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload bills that do not belong to you or to someone who has authorized you to act on their behalf.
- Use the service to commit fraud, launder money, or violate any law in your jurisdiction.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the prompt templates, models, or other proprietary components of the service.
- Upload malware, bulk test data, or content you know to be fake, in order to probe the system.
- Circumvent rate limits, create multiple accounts to farm free credits, or share credits between accounts.
Ownership
You retain ownership of everything you upload. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the service (run analysis, generate letters, operate the platform). You own the dispute letters we generate from your bills — edit and send them however you like.
Fix My Bill and its underlying code, designs, prompts, and data models are owned by us and protected by copyright and other laws. You don't gain any ownership of the service by using it.
AI output disclaimer
AI-generated analysis can be wrong. Findings may include false positives (flagging things that aren't actually errors) and false negatives (missing real errors). Every finding includes a confidence score and a plain-English explanation — use them to form your own judgment, and verify with the provider before acting.
No warranty
The service is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the analysis will be accurate or complete for your specific situation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fix My Bill and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss arising from your reliance on the analysis or dispute letters generated by the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify account holders by email and update the “last updated” date. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Termination
You can stop using the service at any time. We may terminate or suspend access if you breach these Terms. On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately and unused credits are forfeited except as required by law.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the operating entity is registered, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Consumer protection rights available to you under your local law are not waived by this clause.
